Seventh Grade - Dancing & Dining |
Wow! Check out the pictures of the 7th grade taking dancing lessons! I would like to thank Christy Byers, instructor from Blair's Ballroom Dancing. Also, a special thank you to Dustin Trent, a third grade student from St. Aloysius in Peewee Valley, for giving his time and talents to be Miss Christy's partner. The students had a great time learning the "Jive" and the "Box Step."
A special thank you to the Corner Cafe for allowing out students to practice their dining etiquette they had been learning for six weeks. They did a fantastic job and all enjoyed the delicious food. Just check out the pictures for the proof! Thank you to the owners, Robert, Randy, Scott, and Peggy Frederick, and our servers, Ann Butlet, Derek McGinnis, and Charlie Coy.

PTO Spring Fling - Thank You & Winners |
THanks to all the people that helped make Spring Fling a success: The 27 donors for the raffle, the 70+ volunteers, the parents who sent in treats for the Sweets Booth, Bethany Center for donating the fountain drinks, the PE classes that set up the tables, the 8th grade confirmation group who helped with setup, and Mr. Skip for the cleanup. We really appreciate the volunteers' flexibility as we adjusted assignments due to the rain. Congratulations to all the raffle winners! A complete list of donors, prizes and winners is listed here.

Reading Counts - New Edition |
Scholastic Reading Counts! has changed to a new edition, and St. Martha's is pleased to announce that we now have access to
44,770 quizzes with new ones being added each month.
If you want to know if RC has a quiz on a book your child would like to read:
1. Start at www.scholastic.com
2. Click on Teachers at the top menu bar and then click on Teacher Home
3. Go to the bottom
of the page, find Scholastic Reading Counts!, and click.
4. There is a place across the top where you can type in the title of a
book.
5. Read the information they give you.
6. You may click on the title of the book (it’s in blue and underlined) and go to
an informational page that has a summary, reading level, RC points, and other “stuff.”
A student’s first and last name with no space between is the username. The password is their cafeteria account number.
All this is new, so we have some figuring out to do. Please be patient with us while we learn.
You can still visit Ms. Maguire's RC homepage:
Reading Counts homepage.
